This is the 2005 Korean romance/comedy/food drama series. Its native title is "내 이름은 김삼순" which translates as "My Name is Kim Sam-soon" which is another English title. It's also known as "My Lovely Kim Sam Sun," "My Lovely Sam Sun," and "My Name is Kim Sam Sun." Sam-soon's name is an old-fashioned Korean women's name; "Sam" means "three" and "Soon" can mean "pure," so it's commonly understood as "third daughter." The name's dated feel is why the character is embarrassed by it.

These all have edited "soft" English captions; that is, English subtitles are part of the MKV files and the subtitles can be enabled or disabled as you wish.
I ripped the source videos from the DVDs and found English subtitles online; I then...
- Used Subtitle Edit (by Nikolaj Lynge Olsson) to find and fix all flagged issues
- Added 0.7 second to each subtitle (where possible) to allow more time to read them and adjusted words/minute to at least 280
- "Softened" all subtitled profanity (bastard --> jerk, damn --> darn, bitch --> wench etc.)
- Corrected commonly-found typos, converted many word pairs into common English contractions, and brought together sentence fragments
- Naturalized the English phrasing to retain fluid grammar by reducing sentence-initial conjunctions
- Colored media, signs, and flashback subtitles to salmon, yellow, and teal respectively
- Added English subtitles to all of the extensive spoken-English lines
- Used Handbrake to create new MKV files using my subtitles
