The first-ever box set dedicated to the legendary champagne soul quintet.
A collection of all recordings by Marilyn McCoo, Billy Davis Jr., Florence LaRue, and the late Ron Townson and LaMonte Macklemore, made for the Soul City, Bell, and Arista labels.
Bonus material includes a rare single released by the group before they became The 5th Dimension—under their original name, The Versatiles.
This 6-CD set features remastered versions of all ten albums released on the Soul City and Bell labels, plus an impressive selection of 25 bonus tracks. The six-time Grammy Award-winning quintet brought their stunning vocal harmonies to songs by the likes of Laura Nyro, Jimmy Webb, Burt Bacharach and Hal David, Ashford & Simpson, Neil Sedaka, Paul Williams, and Harry Nilsson, creating music that became classics of the 1960s and 1970s.
The collection includes chart-topping hits like "Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In" and "Wedding Bell Blues" and top-10 hits like "Up, Up, And Away," "Stoned Soul Picnic," "One Less Bell To Answer," and "(Last Night) I Didn't Get To Sleep At All," as well as the psychedelic pop classic "The Magic Garden." Bonus tracks include non-album singles, unreleased outtakes, officially released rare live recordings, and a previously unheard version of Carole King and Gerry Goffin's "Hi-De-Ho," produced by Bones Howe.
The audio was remastered by Nick Robbins. Joe Marchese's narration is a band history told from the band's perspective: it draws on a 2025 roundtable discussion featuring McCoo, Davis, and Larue, new interviews with Bones Howe and producer John Flores, and archival testimony from Macklemore, Townson, Webb, and others. A deluxe booklet also contains rare photographs
