On March 13, 2026, Moby and Jacob Lusk released “When It’s Cold I’d Like to Die (Remixes)” — a collection of remixes of the new version of the song from the album “Future Quiet.” The release features 12 tracks: eight remixes by Moby himself, versions by John Tejada, NOHR, and High Beam, and an a cappella version showcasing Lusk’s vocals on their own.
The original song, featuring vocals by Mimi Goese, first appeared on the 1995 album “Everything Is Wrong” and later found a new audience through the series “Stranger Things.” For “Future Quiet,” Moby re-recorded it with Jacob Lusk, the lead singer of Gabriels. On his website, Moby explains that he first heard Lusk on KCRW, immediately fell in love with his voice, and spent several weeks trying to arrange a collaboration. He described the result as “transcendent.” The remix collection continues the story of this recording, offering a range of electronic interpretations of the song
