While playing, we observe events from an isometric perspective, and the game focuses on fighting using a turn-based combat system. During battles, heroes accumulate experience, which allows them to develop their statistics from mission to mission and unlock new abilities and weapons. Metal Slug Tactics offers only a single-player mode. Despite the change of genre and camera, the project retains the specific visual style of the best installments of the series.
