The action of SpellRogue takes place in a fantasy land. The peace there was disturbed by the appearance of the so-called Void Walkers. Attempts to restore the old balance are made by wizards, whom we play during the game. Their mission is to find the source of corruption and destroy it before things get completely out of control. In SpellRogue, we take control of magicians, each of whom has spells related to a specific element. For example, Azar's specialty is fire, Hazel draws strength from the earth, and Lapis controls water. While playing, we traverse the game world map, moving from point to point, and fight duels with Void Wanderers. The fights take place in turn-based mode, and during them we play cards related to specific offensive, defensive or healing spells. As we progress, we acquire better and better spells and collect various artifacts, thanks to which we can face more and more challenges over time. Playing cards was done in an unusual way, because after the start of each turn we throw Mana Dice, which are our basic resource. The values we get on them determine which powers we can use on the battlefield. While simple spells often require low values (for example, between 2 and 5), more advanced spells may require the use of more complex combinations (such as twice the same number of dice), the use of dice with a specific value, or prior "charging" (until a certain amount on the dice is reached). Additionally, in the case of some spells, their effectiveness depends on what dice we "feed" them with. Moreover, if we want to be successful on the battlefield, we must also carefully observe the movements of our opponents and learn about their strengths and weaknesses. The matter is complicated by the fact that adversaries can not only attack us directly, but also sabotage our efforts. To this end, enemies impose various negative effects on us, for example they weaken our spells or set them on fire (so each use of them deals damage to us) or condemn us to poor dice rolls. ..::TECH-dаta::..
